Terms & Conditions
Murray Executive Chauffeurs
1. About these Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Murray Executive Chauffeurs website and to chauffeur services provided by Murray Executive Chauffeurs.
By making a booking, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms do not replace any specific terms agreed in writing as part of an individual booking. Where a written booking confirmation contains specific arrangements that differ from these general Terms, the agreed booking confirmation will apply.
2. Enquiries, quotations and bookings
Submitting an enquiry through the website does not automatically create a booking.
A booking becomes confirmed only when Murray Executive Chauffeurs has accepted the booking and provided written confirmation to the customer.
A booking confirmation will normally include:
- Date and time of service
- Pickup location
- Destination
- Number of passengers
- Vehicle/service requested
- Agreed fare
- Any agreed additional services or requirements
- Payment arrangements
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are quoted in euro and are based on the journey and requirements agreed at the time of booking.
The agreed fare will be confirmed before the journey.
Additional charges may apply where they have been agreed in advance, including additional waiting time, additional stops, extended hire, parking or other customer-requested services.
Any additional charge will be communicated to the customer where reasonably possible before it is incurred.
Payment may be made by the payment methods offered by Murray Executive Chauffeurs.
The full agreed fare is payable in accordance with the payment terms provided with the booking.
A receipt will be provided following the journey where required.
4. Cancellation
- More than 48 hours before the scheduled collection: cancellation without charge.
- Between 24 and 48 hours: 50% of the agreed fare may be charged.
- Less than 24 hours: the full agreed fare may be charged.
- Failure to attend/no-show: the full agreed fare may be charged.
Cancellation charges will be applied reasonably and will take account of the circumstances of the cancellation and any applicable consumer rights.
5. Waiting time
Standard collections
A grace period of 60 minutes will be allowed for passenger delays. Additional waiting time may be chargeable after the agreed waiting period.
Airport collections
For airport arrivals, Murray Executive Chauffeurs will monitor the customer’s provided flight information where available.
The chauffeur will allow a reasonable period of 60 minutes following the scheduled/actual arrival time to allow for disembarkation and baggage collection.
Where a passenger is significantly delayed after their flight has arrived, additional waiting charges may apply.
If the customer does not make contact and cannot be located after a reasonable waiting period, the booking may be treated as a no-show.
6. Changes to bookings
Customers should notify Murray Executive Chauffeurs as soon as possible of any changes to:
- Pickup or destination
- Pickup time
- Number of passengers
- Flight information
- Additional stops
- Luggage requirements
- Special requirements
Changes may affect the agreed fare or availability.
A change is not confirmed until Murray Executive Chauffeurs has accepted it.
7. Vehicle availability
Murray Executive Chauffeurs will endeavour to provide the vehicle requested at the time of booking.
In exceptional circumstances, including mechanical problems, unforeseen operational issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control, we may provide a suitable alternative vehicle.
Where this occurs, we will communicate with the customer as soon as reasonably practicable.
8. Passenger behaviour and vehicle use
Passengers must behave appropriately and follow reasonable instructions from the chauffeur.
The following are not permitted:
- Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle
- Deliberate damage to the vehicle
- Any illegal activity
- Behaviour that creates a safety risk
- Interference with the chauffeur while driving
The chauffeur may refuse to continue a journey where passenger behaviour creates a genuine safety risk.
Where damage is caused deliberately or through unreasonable behaviour, Murray Executive Chauffeurs reserves the right to seek reasonable compensation for the resulting damage or additional cleaning required.
9. Seatbelts and safety
All passengers must comply with applicable road traffic and safety requirements.
Passengers must remain seated and use seatbelts where required.
The chauffeur may refuse to undertake or continue a journey where doing so would be unsafe or unlawful.
10. Children and child seats
Customers travelling with children are responsible for informing Murray Executive Chauffeurs of the number and ages of children when making the booking.
Where a child seat or booster seat is required, this must be requested in advance and confirmed as available.
The appropriate child restraint requirements under Irish law will apply.
11. Luggage
Customers should provide accurate information about the amount and type of luggage when booking.
Murray Executive Chauffeurs cannot guarantee that luggage can be accommodated where the amount or size of luggage exceeds the vehicle’s available capacity.
The chauffeur may assist with reasonable luggage where appropriate.
12. Pets and assistance animals
Assistance dogs and guide dogs will be accommodated in accordance with applicable law.
Customers travelling with other animals should advise Murray Executive Chauffeurs when booking so that suitable arrangements can be discussed.
13. Flight delays and cancellations
Customers should provide accurate flight information when booking an airport transfer.
Murray Executive Chauffeurs will make reasonable efforts to accommodate flight delays where flight information has been supplied.
Where a flight is cancelled, diverted or significantly changed, the customer should contact Murray Executive Chauffeurs as soon as possible.
Any resulting changes to the booking, waiting time or additional journeys may affect the agreed fare.
14. Traffic and unforeseen delays
Murray Executive Chauffeurs will make reasonable efforts to arrive and complete journeys at the agreed times.
However, journey times can be affected by traffic congestion, road closures, accidents, weather, public events and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for allowing sufficient travel time, particularly when travelling to airports, ports, railway stations or time-sensitive events.
15. Weddings and special events
Wedding and event bookings are subject to the specific arrangements contained in the booking confirmation.
Where a vehicle has been reserved exclusively for a wedding or event, cancellation charges may apply because the vehicle and chauffeur may have been committed to that booking and unavailable for other customers.
Any specific wedding cancellation or payment terms will be provided to the customer at the time of booking.
16. Breakdown or circumstances outside our control
In the unlikely event of a vehicle breakdown, accident or other unforeseen event affecting the service, Murray Executive Chauffeurs will make reasonable efforts to arrange an appropriate alternative vehicle or solution where reasonably possible.
Where the agreed service cannot be provided, any refund or other remedy will be dealt with in accordance with the booking terms and applicable consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
17. Complaints
We aim to provide a professional and reliable service.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your booking, please contact Murray Executive Chauffeurs as soon as possible so that we can investigate and attempt to resolve the matter.
Complaints should preferably be submitted in writing and should include the booking details and details of the issue.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms. Irish consumer law provides protections where services are not provided as agreed.
18. Privacy
Personal information provided when making an enquiry or booking will be handled in accordance with the Murray Executive Chauffeurs Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
19. Website information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information displayed on the website is accurate and up to date.
Vehicle availability, photographs, service descriptions and other website information may change from time to time.
A website enquiry does not guarantee availability.
20. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights or protections available to consumers under Irish or applicable EU law.
